H1-KEY Opens Up a New Chapter by Releasing “Thinkin’ About You”

Formed and managed by Grandline Group, H1-KEY is a four-member K-Pop girl group consisting of SEOI, RIINA, HWISEO, and YEL who debuted back in January 2022 with their debut single titled “ATHLETIC GIRL.” All of the members had previously been revealed a year prior and their positions had been marked as such: SEOI as the leader and vocalist, RIINA as a vocalist, HWISEO as the main vocalist and rapper, and YEL as the main dancer of the group.
Although the girls had been given set positions within their group, this does not mean that they are not all-rounders of their craft with years of experience behind their backs despite the oldest member being born in 2000 and the youngest in 2004. Their experience ranges in different ways, with SEOI being a former YG trainee, HWISEO a former trainee of The Black Label and Source Music, YEL placing first place in JYP’s 15th open audition project, and RIINA having competed in Mnet’s survival show Produce 48 together with being a part of WM Entertainment’s 2020 pre-debut group Ggumnamu, which was also known as Dream Tree.
Over the past two years, H1-KEY has released two EP’s — one on their one-year anniversary titled Rose Blossom and their second, Seoul Dreaming, in August 2023. The title track “SEOUL (Such a Beautiful City),” on their second EP, is what ultimately got the group their first-ever music show win on The Show Choice!
In early September 2023 and now, four months after their first-ever win, the girls gear up for a new chapter within the history of H1-KEY.

On January 19, H1-KEY released “Thinkin’ About You,” a digital single under their new project H1-KEYnote. By beginning this project, the group hopes to send comfort and sentiment to everyone through the power of their music with no restrictions to their expressions, sharing H1-KEY’s untold stories and messages with their fans, M1-KEY. Written and composed by singer-songwriters and producers such as Ryan Jhun, Martin Stilling, Moa Pettersson Hammar and KIDDO, “Thinkin’ About You” is a warm toned pop track. It shares the story of a strong and independent individual dealing with the hard feelings of longing over a loved one after a difficult separation.

The group has consistently built a strong fanbase in and outside of South Korea, with them ranking 3rd after NewJeans and BLACKPINK for Girl Group Brand Reputation back in February 2023.
