EVNNE's Vocal Brilliance: 3 Tracks to Listen to Before Their First Comeback
Formed through Mnet's Boys Planet in 2023, EVNNE is gearing up for their comeback with the second mini album Un: SEEN, dropping on January 22, 2024, at 6 PM KST.
EVNNE is a seven-member boy band created by Jellyfish Entertainment. The group consists of seven members: Keita, Park Han-bin, Lee Jeong-hyeon, Ji Yun-seo, Yoo Seung-eon, Mun Jung-hyun, and Park Ji-hoo. The septet debuted on September 19, 2023, with their EP Target: Me.
Crafted by blending uncommon words signifying “Evening's Newest Etoiles," EVNNE’s name represents a new rising star in the night sky. The group is one of a kind for debuting members who didn’t make the final cut in the aforementioned reality competition. Doing justice to their name with their immense talent, this seven-member group was nominated as ‘Rookie of the Year’ at the Golden Disk Awards and Seoul Music Awards, as well as ‘Best New Male Artist’ at MAMA.
While we eagerly await EVNNE’s first-ever comeback, let’s explore three songs that showcase their vast vocal range. Here are three songs from EVNNE that we love listening to:
1. Even More
“Even More” is an ode to unwavering support and love, promising to be a guiding light through life's challenges, emphasizing companionship and the enduring strength found in shared moments.
This ballad hits it out of the park, quite literally! The way the members effortlessly hit those highs might make you question if this belongs to their debut album. Its poignant lyrics resonate deep within, touching the soul.
2. TROUBLE
The song "TROUBLE" is an anthem about embracing disruption and forging ahead boldly in the face of challenges, celebrating defiance and confidence while daring to break boundaries and expectations.
This title track doesn't hold back! Re-introducing the Baltimore Club genre to K-Pop, an uncommon sub-specific genre in this industry, this song defies rookie expectations. Within moments of the music video, it's clear that this group's debut status is merely a label. “TROUBLE” oozes swagger, showcasing the members' impeccable vocal flow intertwined with magnetic beats.
3. Pretty Thing
Don't overlook this track! “Pretty Thing” delves into a common theme in K-Pop, an exhilarating expression of infatuation and desire, capturing the intense emotions and longing between two individuals. However, the finesse with which they navigate diverse vocal styles at the song's start is truly mature. Yet, as the melody unfolds, it challenges the expected beats, offering a delightful surprise for seasoned K-Pop enthusiasts seeking something refreshingly unpredictable.
