Etching Mémoires of a Blossoming Night, Billlie Takes on Tucson with Love
Beautiful, amazing and magnificent--three words to describe the beauty that fourth generation K-Pop icon Billlie brought to Arizona on December 10 on their North and South America leg of their ‘Our FLOWERLD (Belllie've You)’ World Tour.
Billlie, formally known as Mystic Rookies, is a seven-member girl group under Mystic Story Entertainment (a subsidiary label of SM Entertainment) consisting of Moon Sua, Suhyeon, Haram, Tsuki, Sheon, Siyoon, and Haruna. They debuted on November 10, 2021 with their first mini album, the Billage of perception: chapter one. The group rose to fame after the release of their second mini album, the collective soul and unconscious: chapter one, and their complementing title track, “GingaMingaYo (The Strange World),” went viral due to the members' energetic and charismatic performances.
Touching down in Tucson, Arizona completes the group's third to last show of their tour and the fans surely did not disappoint! Numerous screams erupted throughout the venue and the sound of fans singing along to their favorite songs echoed along the walls.
Billlie performed multiple song and dance covers alongside their own that ignited a frenzy amongst their fans, better known as BELLLIE’VE. Starting off with “MONEY” by BLACKPINK’s LISA, “Whiplash” by aespa & finishing off with Jessie J ft. Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj's “Bang Bang,” BELLLIE’VE could all be seen waving their lightsticks and screaming at the top of their lungs.
Arizona fans immediately captured Billlie’s heart with their overflowing energy which amongst all of the fun and loudness, member Moon Sua thanked the fans during their first ment of the night for coming out and enjoying the night together, calling Tucson BELLLIE’VE “very demure,” which resulted in many giggles and laughter from her own members and fans.
A sweet moment to have witnessed between Billlie and the crowd was after the performance of their song “BYOB (bring your own best friend)” as fans continued singing the chorus back to the group as loudly as they could, leaving shocked faces from Billlie who continued singing along with them.
Throughout the night, when Billlie performed their discography, it showcased their versatility and ability to put on a show, which had everyone out of their seat jumping along regardless of age.
As the night gradually came to an unfortunate close, despite the pleas from BELLLIE’VE, members Tsuki and Siyoon thanked their fans for a fun night, exclaming that Tucson would surely be a night to remember. Member Haram waved goodbye and completed many hand hearts with fans and even hugged her fellow member Suhyeon. Clasping hands with one another to signal the end of their time on stage, Billlie took their final bow before leaving the stage.
Billie didn’t make BELLLIE’VE wait very long for the encore, coming back out on stage immediately after the crowd chanted “Billlie,” the sound of which engulfed the venue. Moon Sua went as far as to say, “Really?” as if they really believed they would leave for good without playing “snowy night,” their 2021 single. When Billlie finally left the stage once and for all, they did so after letting fans know that they would not be where they are today without their continued love and support and promised to be back next time.
